The Prayer of Surrender and Trust

Lord, I come to You today with open hands and a willing heart. I have been trying so hard to protect myself, to plan for every outcome, to maintain control — and I am exhausted. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." — Proverbs 3:5-6 I realize, Father, that my need to control is itself a form of fear. Fear that things will fall apart if I let go. Fear that no one will take care of what matters to me. Fear that I will be left vulnerable.
