Prayer for a Loved One Who Is Sick

Lord, I come before You today not for myself, but for someone I love who is suffering. You know their name. You know their diagnosis. You know their pain — better than I do, better than they do. In Mark's Gospel, four friends carried a paralyzed man to Jesus. When the crowd blocked the door, they did not give up — they tore open the roof and lowered him down. "When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, 'Son, your sins are forgiven... get up, take your mat and go home.'" — Mark 2:3-5, 11 Lord, I am that friend today. I am tearing open the roof. I am lowering my loved one down to Your feet because they may not have the strength to come on their own.
